Fun Group Events
WE ARE MORE THAN JUST BIRTHDAY PARTIES!
Celebrate a special occasion or just time spent with friends! While we do offer traditional canvas paint parties, we’re so much more than that! We will work with you to come up with a fun project, perfectly tailored to your group. Our projects are designed to make even the most “un-artistic*” people feel proud of their finished product!
*We at Orange Poppy do NOT believe that there are ANY “un-artistic” people. We believe that everyone is an artist, some just haven’t discovered it yet!

For artists and non-artists* alike!! Our Private Group Events give all adults a time to relax, socialize, build relationships in the team, and create something beautiful in a stress free, fun environment! NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
We have several activities to choose from. During each event, your personal creative instructor will help to facilitate conversations, fun, and engage with each attendee and encourage everyone to share while we create!!
Below are some of the activities we can bring to your group or team. If you do not see exactly what you are looking for, please reach out to us and we can work together to create the perfect event for your team.
WATERCOLOR AND DOODLES
This project is a great one for people just looking to have a relaxing art experience without having to think too much! In this workshop, you will learn various watercolor techniques and get to experiment with color mixing. You will use your newfound skills to then to paint a repeated shape. Once the painting is dry, you will use ink, gel, and metallic pens to doodle patterns and textures onto your shapes to create a beautiful work of art.
SUCCULENT PLANTER
Guest will create a modern wooden succulent planter. In this workshop we guide you thru painting the planter in a fun way and teach you house to plant and care for a darling succulent! All supplies included!
MACRAMÉ
It is back! Macramé is the hottest trend because it is so beautiful and surprisingly easy to do! We will guide your team to master a simple and beautiful work of art!
ABSTRACT EMBROIDERY
Your group will learn the basic stitches and let loose with a free-flowing art experience.
MODERN DREAM CATCHER
Your group will love creating and displaying a stunning wooden dreamcatcher! They will use a variety of materials and each one will be beautiful and unique!
WATERCOLOR GEODES
In this workshop, you will create either one large geode painting. These paintings look gorgeous as part of any home décor and your friends will be amazed that it was painted by YOU, and not done by a professional artist! You will learn a few watercolor techniques which you will use to build your geode, layer by layer. Then, you will have the option of using metallic ink or glitter to add even more detail!
TRADITIONAL GUIDING PAINTING OF YOUR CHOICE
Done like a traditional “paint party,” each attendee will follow guided instructions to create a fun acrylic painting on canvas.

PARTIES AND EVENTS
Your Art, Your Way
We love Private Arty Parties!
Where can we have our Arty Party?
We are currently offering three options for our Private Parties.
Option 1 - Host your party at our Grand Island, NY studio. Our Artist Instructor will follow all our COVID-19 GUIDELINES as they would in any of our in-Studio Workshops.
Option 2 - Host your party in your home or place of business with our Artist Instructor right there with you! We prefer for parties in your home to be hosted outside so that social distancing can be followed. Our instructor will follow all COVID-19 GUIDELINES as we would if the Art Party were in our Studio.
Option 3 - Host your Arty Party in your home or place of business with a virtual Art Instructor! We will arrange for the pickup or delivery of all your project supplies. We use Zoom to connect to you and your friends and family then our Artist Instructor will lead the workshop just as if you were in our Studio.
What is the cost?
There is a $100 deposit required to host a private party. This deposit is refunded if the minimum number of guests is met (6). Each guest will complete their own work of Art as selected by the host! The cost is $25-$38 per guest. Please send us your project request prior to paying the deposit for the date.
How many people can attend?
There is a 6-guest minimum (7 including the hostess) for all private parties and team-building events. We can allow up to 12 guests in our studio.
